It's difficult to understand how she works, and how her followers can not only buy into the whole thing, but be just as nasty while claiming to love animals. You just want to make it stop. You're not going to be successful. But it does no good to get all wrapped in the negativity. Keep an eye on it, yes. Fugly, and those like her are a detrement to the Equine Industry in so many ways. Just like many on ABR. We get frustrated with them, angry at them, and at times, even have to just laugh at them. But we can never forget that these are the people tirelessly working against us. And many of them have nothing else to do with their time than write letters, make contacts, and work to get legislation passed. We can never count them out as just a bunch of "nutters" as BUC so colorfully puts it:) Those of us with horses don't have the luxury of the time they have to put into the fight, so we really have to keep an eye on what they're doing and choose our battles wisely.RH2noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-9854250381227881072009-12-30T15:26:30.589-05:002009-12-30T15:26:30.589-05:00OK folks here's the funny thing....I went to f...OK folks here's the funny thing....I went to fhotd (first time in several months) and found that the comment had been posted by fugly and fugly responded to it as well. It is dated earlier than the post on dream horse forum. hmmmm I think this writer spoke too soon, or he/she just wants more attention.Ranch Managerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15230951347227450112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-21719622109214426382009-12-28T08:24:43.728-05:002009-12-28T08:24:43.728-05:00Awwwww airspace1, a little lost nutter, how sweet ...Awwwww airspace1, a little lost nutter, how sweet :)

Yep RH2, that's the way it works. Nothing to come back with other than insults when cornered. They would have to take off their rose colored glasses and take their heads out of the sand if they were going to do anything but. They like it this way though....it's like an anti truth shield if they can just keep the light away.BUChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15705405605815218278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-7710907060413231552009-12-27T18:48:09.672-05:002009-12-27T18:48:09.672-05:00Ranch Manager-I know you do:) I'd like to hear...Ranch Manager-I know you do:) I'd like to hear Airspace's explanation, or better yet-comments on the piece that was posted. Lots of good points, and a lot of truth. Why is is that when faced with that, some resort to attack? Maybe they have no answers?RH2noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-25501052589352816132009-12-27T10:09:30.384-05:002009-12-27T10:09:30.384-05:00RH2, very good points....and oops...I suppose &quo...RH2, very good points....and oops...I suppose "airspace (between the ears)" was definitely a personal attack. My sense of humor sometimes leans toward meanness when I read the garbage some people spew. I actually do exercise some restraint believe it or not ;)Ranch Managerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15230951347227450112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-65237583440072193142009-12-27T09:53:41.870-05:002009-12-27T09:53:41.870-05:00Hey Airspace (between your ears) I don't under...Hey Airspace (between your ears) I don't understand your comment. Buck didn't comment so who are you talking to? Care to explain?Ranch Managerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15230951347227450112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-68552488809102785432009-12-26T22:48:41.275-05:002009-12-26T22:48:41.275-05:00I'm not sure what the above comment has to do ...I'm not sure what the above comment has to do with what was said in the post, but obviously the truth is making someone a little uncomfortable. That'll happen, and when it does, the claws come out pretty quickly. I'd apologize for the lack of maturity of the person above, but we're used to this kind of stuff here, as I'm sure the author of the comment to Fugly must be. It's a tough job telling the truth, but we'll continue to do it. Now, on to what was said to Fugly. I agree with the post. The questions being asked have been asked before and gone unanswered. The points made are valid. And while some may not enjoy reading about what happens to a horse that is starving, it is the truth, and far more painful to the horse going through it than to those of us reading about it. But it happens, and seems to be happening more often. While it is Fugly's choice to censor any remarks or comments she does not like, the truth still remains. Funny thing, censorship. Those who use it as a way to keep the truth at bay seem to feel they are winning the Slaughter war. They aren't. And while sites like this one allow thoughts to be expressed-even ignorant comments like the one expressed above by Airspace, there's a reason for that. People have a right to express their opinions. Even if we don't agree with them. And if they are wrong, others will see that. It's not that difficult. There's also another reason. Those on the Anti side who spew hate and ignorance are our best allies. The more people see their actions and read their words, the more they see who they are. And wonder if they really want to ally themselves with them. Take this article for example. What about it would possibly cause a comment like the one Airspace chose to post? Did Airspace address any issue that was brought up in the post? Did they provide any answers? Is the weight of the person writing the post really any indication of the validity of what they have to say? Again, we can see what we're up against, and as long as we give voice to these people, we expose that. Better to bring it out for all to see than to censor it and hide it from everyone. I like to see who's on the other side of the issue. While it would be helpful for them to post some answers to the questions asked of them, or perhaps suggest some solutions, some seem to resort to the same tired rhetoric, insults, or paranoia. For those on the fence about the issues we're facing, I don't think there's anything better than seeing what some of these folks have to say right here in black and white.
This article contains a lot of very thought provoking points. We're facing issues that demand a lot of hard decisions. Let's hope that the other side can do better than respond to them with personal attacks.RH2noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-63335950568824290722009-12-26T16:34:21.793-05:002009-12-26T16:34:21.793-05:00Hey Buck''
