This changed in 2001 when the political climate changed after the terrorist attacks of 9-11-01 and the justice department took animal rights activist violence more serious after some very violent events. (this is not to say Mr Hindi was responsable for those actions, but he applauded them)
He used to challenge people to fights, threaten people with cattle prods, etc. Now his site has a big non-violence pledge on the front page.
Mr Hindi is all about Mr Hindi.
His main strategy is to goad people into confrontations so that he can film them acting in violent or confrontational ways. I have seen him make inappropriate comments to men with their children, just to get a rise out of them.

He is a classic extrovert. If you really look at his organization, you find that few stay active for a long length of time. Why is this ? Because they tire of his incessant self-aggrandizement. In other words, they get tired of his over-sized ego.
I have observed him in action numerous times for almost two decades now. My advice is, first clean up your act, do not give any of his claims legitamacy. Secondly, ignore him. When he can't get any press because there is no conflict, when he can't get someone to overreact and cause a headline making himself out to be a victim, when he can't get anyone to post nasty emails that galvanize his ragtag bunch of soon to be ex-followers in his small movement, when he gets no attention, HE GOES AWAY.
Its not about the animals with him, its about his ego.
Realize also that Mr Hindi is a very rich owner of a rivet manufacturer located in Geneva Illinois. He has the money to make your life a miserable hell.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-62749781876259470782009-08-06T10:39:32.421-04:002009-08-06T10:39:32.421-04:00of you read the 2 or 3 comments on Mr. Sherman'...of you read the 2 or 3 comments on Mr. Sherman's blog. To be honest I'm pretty happy the guy doesn't approve of us, he sure attracts some whacko’s! I do think calling himself "A real Journalist" might be a bit of a grandiose stretch on his part though ;)Ranch Managerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15230951347227450112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-23330324268713036752009-08-06T10:34:52.590-04:002009-08-06T10:34:52.590-04:00Hey blaze I agree with you. but an animal rights a...Hey blaze I agree with you. but an animal rights activist would say you were "interfering with nature" or point out that we should not own animals. They get a big finger up from me. Not a thumbs up. lol
Keep up the good work:)Ranch Managerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15230951347227450112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-2792873709068601082009-08-05T23:28:04.577-04:002009-08-05T23:28:04.577-04:00They say that the events done in the arena are nev...They say that the events done in the arena are never done on the ranch. I was riding through some cows one evening about a half hour before dark. Found a cow with a calf's head and one leg out, no second leg in site. She would trot off whenever I got close, as whe have brahma cross cattle and some are not to gentle. Since it was getting close to dark I really had no time to get back to the house and get someone to help me.

So I roped here around the horns and layed a trip on her and rode off. Got her on the ground, tied the 2 bottom legs. The knee was trying to come on the other leg, but just was not enough room to straighten the leg out. So I ended up pushing the leg straight back as far as I could.

Put a rope around the calf's neck and one leg and started pulling. Within a few minutes I had the calf out, untied the cow. Watched to make sure she got up and rode off.

Now, I ask, how would an animal rights activist handled the situation? As they say this is never done on the ranch.Blazenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-28035188497682623992009-08-04T14:33:19.562-04:002009-08-04T14:33:19.562-04:00I didn't get the apologist angle, nor did I se...I didn't get the apologist angle, nor did I see what the corrupt Illinois court system had to do with rodeo. I was raised in sticks so I can be a little backward at times.

And a lot of it can be chalked up to "just don't care". Sensationalism masked as journalism is alive and well in Chicago.r.h. 1..noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1981780833943704182.post-3737616979278106672009-08-04T08:49:46.840-04:002009-08-04T08:49:46.840-04:00I was a little confused by the "Rodeo Apologi...I was a little confused by the "Rodeo Apologist" angle, and hoped you would address it. I'm glad you did.
I did a little research on Mr. Hindi myself, and I, for one am not impressed. He has the right to do as he believes best, but I get a little tired of people like him who seem to feel that if we all don't agree with him, then he has the right to infringe on our rights. Sure, standing outside a Hunt club with a bull horn and doing a flyover was within his legal rights until a restraining order was obtained, but why can't people like this find ways to pursue their causes in ways that don't scream "LOOK AT ME!!!!!", and disrupt others at the same time when they are not doing anything against the law themselves? What is, and is always lacking in these issues is a basic respect for other human beings, and without that, I don't know how we can move forward on ANY issue. A sad side note to the story of Mr. Hindi's stint in jail was that the owner of the Hunt club passed away of a heart attack while Mr. Hindi was in jail. In doing research on Mr. Hindi I came across a rather crass comment on the death of this man, making a sort of joke out of it. This is the mentality I just can't get past, and will never understand. Those who have this seeming fanatical love for animals also seem to possess a blatant disregard for any human not sharing their extreme views.g810girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04194355116585333357noreply@blogger.com
